Lab orders, from requisition to result.
Order lab tests for a patient the way your team orders a prescription: from your account’s lab catalog and prices, authorized by a licensed clinician, with every status and every result on one record.
- Authorized by a clinician. A licensed clinician authorizes each order; the software never does.
- Results with their history. A corrected result is a new version, never an overwrite.
- One API. The same signed enterprise API as pharmacy ordering.

One route for a lab order.
Each step is a state the order records, so your team, your patient’s clinician and an integrated platform all read the same answer to “where is it?”
- 1
Choose tests
From your account’s lab catalog, with your prices.
- 2
Authorize
A licensed clinician linked to your clinic reviews and authorizes the order.
- 3
Requisition
The order goes to the lab, and the patient gets what they need to be collected.
- 4
Collection
A specimen is collected, and its status is kept on the order.
- 5
Results
The lab’s report and its discrete results, each correction kept as a new version.
What the record keeps.
Every version of a result
When a lab corrects or completes a result, the earlier version is kept and the newest is marked as current. Nothing is overwritten.
Critical results, escalated
A result the lab flags as critical starts an escalation to the responsible clinician, and each step of it is recorded.
Results for named roles only
Results are readable by the clinicians and staff your organization names, not by every user on the account.
On the enterprise API
EHRs and partner platforms order tests and read results through the same signed API they use for pharmacy orders.
